The
PICkit 3 allows debugging and programming of PIC and dsPIC microcontrollers
using the powerful graphical user interface of the MPLAB Integrated Development
Environment (IDE) and the latest MPLAB X IDE too. The MPLAB PICkit 3 is
connected to a PC using a full speed USB interface and can be connected to the
target via standard Microchip 6-pin 0.1" inline header. The UIC-A will
do the conversion from PICKIT 3 to UIC00B or even to ICD 2 standard connection.
The connector uses two device I/O pins and the reset line to implement
in-circuit debugging and In-Circuit Serial Programming. Mini-USB cable
included.
WARNING! Please do not press PICkit 3's Programmer-To-Go button when
it has no image loaded and is connected to PIC32 (or SKPIC32). The
PIC32 chip may be bricked that way and is unrecoverable. Many has
confirmed that it destroys PIC32 chips. Please read this Microchip forum thread for
more info.
