The
7402 is a quad 2-input NOR gate integrated circuit (IC) from the 74xx series of
logic gates. It contains four individual NOR gates, each with two inputs and
one output. The 7402 IC is widely used in digital electronics and can be
employed in various logic circuits.
The
NOR gate is a digital logic gate that implements logical NOR – it behaves
according to the truth table to the right. A HIGH output results if both the
inputs to the gate are LOW; if one or both input is HIGH, a LOW output results.
