The TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor is a modern and advanced electronic module developed specifically for detecting ambient light in a wide variety of installation locations, providing reliable and accurate data.

It is an NPN phototransistor, much more accurate than the well-known LDRs ( Light Dependent Resistors ), making it a simple and powerful tool for detecting ambient light.
Its operating principle is simplified because the more light incident on the sensor, the higher the value displayed at its analog output. In other words, the lower the illumination, the lower the output value, allowing the microcontroller to act as programmed for that situation.

Another unique feature of this light sensor is the ability to configure and adjust the possible detection levels, in addition to having a mounting location and being supplied with a pin header for easy installation in your project.
