source, the latch is pulled in, allowing movement. Without power, the latch is extended;

This Solenoid Latch comes with a
mounting bracket which can be removed with two screws. Once removed the
solenoid can be rotated 180 and remounted.
An intermittent-duty solenoid is
designed to be energized for no more than 10 seconds. The intermittent duty
solenoid is used in a fail-secure(products are locked when power is removed.
